ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -  As the school year starts to wind down, the end-of-year activities have been announced in the St. Cloud Area School District.

Prom season is almost here:

Tech High School’s Prom is May 4th with the Grand March at 7:00 p.m., and the dance to follow. The dance should be over at 11:00 p.m.

Apollo’s Prom is scheduled for May 18th with the Grand March at 7:00 p.m., followed by the dance, which should be over at 11:00 p.m.

McKinley’s Prom and Carnival is set for all students and staff on May 31st from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m.

Several end-of-the-year activities have been set as well:

Scholarship night is May 22nd starting at 6:30 p.m. at Apollo and 7:00 p.m. at Tech.

The Apollo Senior Picnic is set for May 22nd with a picnic served by school administration and other staff.

Tech High School’s Activity Day is May 23rd from 1:30 until 3:15 p.m. Highlights include flag football, yard games, a helicopter landing, and the Senior Photo at Tiger Stadium.

Seniors’ last day of school is May 24th. Graduation caps and gowns, as well as graduation tickets, will be distributed at that time.

Graduation rehearsal is Friday, May 31st, at the River’s Edge Convention Center. Apollo’s rehearsal is at 9:00 a.m. and Tech’s is at 11:30.

Graduation 2024:

The Indigenous Graduate Honoring is on April 24th, 5:00 p.m. at St. Cloud City Hall.

Adult Basic Education Graduation is May 22nd, 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School Auditorium.

Graduation ceremonies have been set for June 1st at the River’s Edge Convention Center, with Apollo’s ceremony at 11:00 (doors open at 10:00 a.m.), and Tech’s ceremony at 3:30 (doors open at 2:30 p.m.). Officials expect about 300 graduates at Apollo High School and about 360 at Tech High School.

The details are as follows:

  • Eight tickets per graduate will be distributed on the last day of school for seniors, on May 24th.
  • After each ceremony, families can greet their graduates outside of Door A.
  • Each ceremony will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person.
