The markets were closed Monday for the New Year's Day Holiday. So, when the markets opened Tuesday Morning it quickly turned into a Monday. The grains have had a pattern of being quite a lot lower to start the week. There have been a couple big up days on Monday but typically are lower.

There was more down pressure around mid-week so it sure was nice to see a little recovery on Friday. Remember, next Thursday the USDA releases one of the biggest reports of the year. The January Supply Demand Report with the final numbers on last year's production and the Quarterly Grain Stocks Report.
