New Recall Announced For Item Sold at Retail Stores, Including Walmart

Consumers are asked to check their pantries and cupboards for a food item that was listed recently on the recall list by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.  Unfortunately, an ingredient was not declared on the packaging and poses an allergy risk.

Where The Item Was Sold: Retail stores, including Walmart

Lot Code: Best if Used By February 17th, 2028

Size of Can: 15 oz.

How Many Items Are Being Recalled:  4,515 cases

States Where The Product Was Distributed:  Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

Reason For The Recall:  The product contains soy and this was not declared on the packaging.  This could pose a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction to anyone who is sensitive or allergic to soy.

33 million Americans live with a food allergy and I am one of them.  Soy hates me!  A few years ago, I was in the studio at the radio station when I started having a reaction to soy.  This wasn't the worst allergic reaction that I've had, but the video below does give a glimpse of what can happen when someone is having an allergic reaction to soy.
