Popular Mall Chain Announces 290+ Store Closures, Including 3 in Minnesota
As fast-fashion sites like Shein and Temu became popular sources for shopping, other businesses felt the impact. Add in inflation and tariffs, and businesses in the United States announced that they were feeling the financial pressure.
Sadly, one well-known chain has filed for bankruptcy and just announced that as a result, 290 stores are now closing, including several in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.

Claire's Just Announced It Is Closing Over 290 Stores Due To Bankruptcy
It's not a secret that Claire's has been struggling financially. Back in 2018, it filed for bankruptcy and just did again earlier this month. On August 20th, Claire's sold its North American business to a private equity firm, Ames Watson, for $104 million.
Sadly, it looks like this iconic store from our childhood is following a similar path to Macy's, Party City, and Joann Fabrics. Due to the bankruptcy process, over 290 stores are closing.
