This Rochester Kwik Trip Has Gas Pumps Again – And People Are Relieved

A bit of good news showed up in Rochester today.

No...2nd Street is not open yet.  In fact, we heard that new changes involving road construction are starting on Monday, June 8th near St. Mary's.  (I know...I'm tired of seeing orange cones too.)

The good news that I spotted today is for a major destination (for some of us) that is north of another set of orange cones.

A few weeks ago, I gave you the heads-up that the gas pumps at the Kwik Trip on North Broadway in Rochester were closed.  They weren't just closed though; they were completely gone.  Yesterday, caution tape was surrounding the entire area.

Today...I had to do a double-take as I drove by...because everything looked normal again.

One Of Rochester's Kwik Trip Locations Now Has Working Gas Pumps Again

Good news is appearing all over Rochester!  The other day, the roundabout opened again near Olmsted Medical Center's hospital.  A massive crowd showed up on a gorgeous night to see Cori Kennedy perform at Mayo Park.  And now...the Kwik Trip on North Broadway at 3111 Wellner Drive NE has working gas pumps again.

Two weeks ago, I stopped there to fill up when my car was on "E".  Before I even drove in, I knew something was wrong.  Fences surrounded the gas pumps, the pumps were physically gone, and there were piles of dirt and sand everywhere.  (And a Lime Scooter nearby.)

I've watched as construction trucks and equipment has dominated this small area.  And yesterday, it was like magic...all of the construction equipment was gone and yellow "caution" tape was surrounding the pumps.  I knew it was just a matter of time before this popular spot to fill up would be functional again.

That day is...now.

On my drive home today, all of the pumps were busy once again.

For all of us in the NE area, our fill up spots are pretty limited on North Broadway...and seeing that the pumps are working again is good news!
