Minnesota’s Only Hemp Maze is a Must-Visit this Fall in SE MN

Forget about those corn mazes, head over to the only hemp maze in Minnesota for some fun this fall.

Hemp can be used for so many different things, from clothing to food. You'll learn all about that throughout the maze while you see how fast you can get through the tall hemp.  It's a cool and unique spot to visit, plus, it's educational.

If you drive Highway 52 north of Rochester, you've probably seen the maze before. It's The Hemp Maze at Willow's Keep Farm in Zumbrota.

Hemp Maze in Zumbrota, MN

The Hemp Maze is open from the end of summer into October every year. In October, they get all decorated for Spooky Season, of course, and the farm also puts on Fright at the Farm, a haunted farm experience. So if you're not into scary stuff, make sure you go during the daytime.

The Hemp Maze is just like a corn maze. There's a path through the field, it'll try to confuse you and bring you to dead ends sometimes, and the goal, of course, is to get out on the other end.

And, on top of that, there are signs around the maze that teach you about hemp and what it's used for.

When Minnesota's Hemp Maze is Open

If you'd like to check out the Hemp Maze, they're open Saturdays and Sundays Noon - 5 PM. Last I saw, entry to the maze is $6 per person.

Also, make sure you come prepared and wear closed-toed shoes. It is a farm field that you're walking on, after all.

For the 2026 season, The Hemp Maze will close on October 11th.

If you want to learn even more about hemp and its uses in Minnesota, they offer a Hemp Farm Tour as well. Tickets are $15 per person and are done by appointment only. That $15 ticket gets you into the maze, too.
