I've worked in radio my entire adult life, and when people ask what I love most about it, I often say it’s making people cry. This usually gets a puzzled look until I explain. I love hearing and seeing happy tears from listeners!

For the past month, we've been giving listeners a chance to win cash every hour during the workday. Ten people won prizes each day, and this morning we finished the contest by announcing our grand prize winner. This person won $30,000 and already has plans for how to spend it.

What would you do if you had $30,000? We asked our listeners every day and got a lot of different answers. The most popular response was to pay bills and pay off debt. Some people wanted to use the money to buy a house or a car, while many others dreamed of taking a big trip.

We surprised her with an early morning call and could hear her young children in the background getting ready for school. She was shocked to learn that she had won the  grand prize but knew what she was going to do with the money.

She said she'd be paying off debt and taking her family on an incredible trip to Disney to check out the new 'Epic Universe' park when it opens in 2025.
