What Actually Happened?
According to the company, the extreme heat during the day took a massive toll on the crew. Combine that brutal heat with the sudden, last-minute decision to bump the launch time up by 30 minutes to beat the incoming storms, and the crew simply ran out of time.
The company says the team couldn’t safely finish setting up the full display before the firing window opened.
Will Rochester Reschedule the Fireworks?
Here is the good news: J&M Displays wants to make things right.
The vendor announced they will provide the City of Rochester with a brand-new, full fireworks display at absolutely no cost on a future date chosen by city officials.
