The Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota is the biggest tourist attraction in the state. 40 million people visit the mega-mall each year to spend a day or two shopping, dining, and having fun.

There are hundreds of stores to browse through, a ton of different dining options, and unique attractions like Nickelodeon Universe, the Museum of IllusionsClimb Zone, and a new "first of its kind" experience is scheduled to open for a limited time next month.

How Many Stores Are In The Mall of America?

The exact number changes all of the time, but there are hundreds of stores. You can easily spend a full day or more and a ton of money at the giant shopping center.

MOA says, "With up to 500 stores, there's something for everyone at MOA®. From fashion and food to tech and toys, we have what you're looking for — and then some."

There are also 50 restaurants and concession vendors inside MOA.

It's fun to spend a day at the mall, even if you don't like shopping. You can purchase an unlimited ride bracelet and have a blast at Nickelodeon Universe or check out the flight simulator, mini-golf course, escape room, or incredible aquarium.

And, now you will be able to experience one of the top haunted attractions in the country.

Chris Grap, Vice President of Experiential, Mall of America, is excited about the new addition, "We are thrilled to partner with the leaders in the haunt-themed entertainment industry to open a first-of-its-kind Halloween attraction. American Monsters will bring to life their creative and terrifying concepts, turning nightmares into reality."

Massive Haunted House Now Open Inside Mall of America

Mall of America and American Monsters have teamed up to create one of the biggest and best-haunted experiences in the country.

MOA says, "The 45,000 square feet of terror features elaborate set designs with unexpected thrills around every corner."

The CEO of American Monsters, Charlotte Huggins, explained what you can expect, "Guests will step inside a world of creepy Louisiana bayous and graveyards, to come face-to-face with supernatural terror and a creature out for revenge" in this story-based Halloween haunt.

This limited-time attraction will also feature themed bars with custom cocktails and food. The massive haunted house will be open inside MOA through Halloween.
