Florida Georgia Line’s Last-Ever Show Was Right Here in Minnesota
They're dropping hints that they might be getting back together next year, but did you know that after they called it quits four years ago, Florida Georgia Line played their last show...EVER... right here in Minnesota?
We may be known for our 10,000 lakes here in Minnesota, but in addition to them, we also have numerous venues and festivals that have hosted a ton of popular singers and groups. There's U.S. Bank Stadium, Huntington Bank Stadium, Target Field, and Target Center in Minneapolis, plus the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, along with Grand Casino Arena, CHS Field, and Allianz Field in St. Paul.
Then there are other venues, like Treasure Island, Mystic Lake, and Black Bear Casinos, all of which host music events, as well as smaller venues in Rochester, Mankato, and St. Cloud. And don't forget all those festivals scattered throughout the state too.

Florida Georgia Line Played Its Last Show at the Minnesota State Fair
And, lest we forget, the Minnesota State Fair has hosted a TON of incredible artists during its Grandstand Series over the years. But something happened four years ago during the Fair's 2022 run that might just be a first at the Great Minnesota Get-Together: the venue hosted the last-ever concert of the popular country group, Florida Georgia Line.
Florida Georgia Line (FGL, as they're still known by their fans) was a group (or were they just a duo?) made up of Brian Kelly and Tyler Hubbard. And, since they had their first hit back over 15 years ago, they've become one of the most popular country groups around, as their website notes:

When Was Florida Georgia Line’s Last Concert?
However, FGL announced back in 2021 that the group was going to put things on hold for a while while the guys pursued various solo projects. Is the group breaking up? Well, it seems like it-- but FGL says it's more accurate to say they're 'taking a break,' as this CountryNow story noted.
FGL did play 12 tour dates in 2022, one of which was in our neck of the woods, back at Country Fest in Cadott, WI, in June of that year. But when FGL took the grandstand at the Great Minnesota Get-Together on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, it was apparently their last show... ever.
Florida Georgia Line Hints at a 2027 Reunion Tour
Well, until next year, that is. The duo reunited for several songs during the CMA Fest in Nashville in June of this year, and have been teasing the possibility of a new tour next year. "Y'all got plans in 2027?" is what appeared on their socials last month. Other than that, there's been no official news... yet.
While they've been apart, both Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelly have pursued various solo projects. Hubbard has appeared several times in Minnesota since FGL's last show. He also opened for the final date of Keith Urban's 'Speed of Now' World Tour at the Xcel Energy Center in November 2022, where he referenced how it was appropriate that Minnesota was the site of Keith's last tour date because it was also the location of FGL's last show ever.
He also performed live at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis in April of 2022 and was recently a featured performer at that year's Ashley For The Arts festival in Arcadia, WI. He even played a show at the Iowa State Fair in 2022.
He has also appeared back at the Varsity Theatre again in April of 2023, as well as performing that year at the Lakefront Music Fest in Prior Lake in July 2023, and also played the Lakes Jam Festival in Brainerd in 2024.
