Rochester Tops the List for Best McDonald’s Experience in MN
When it comes to fast food chains, McDonald's is one of the largest and top-rated in the world. And now, some of the best McDonald's restaurants in Minnesota can be found right here in Rochester.
How Many Minnesotans Have Worked at McDonald's?
Just how massive is the McDonald's restaurant chain? It's so big that it can lay claim to having employed over 13 percent of the workforce throughout the entire Land of 10,000 Lakes. That's right, roughly 754,000 Minnesotans have worked at the Golden Arches of McDonald's at one time or another. This Today Show story confirmed that news:
McDonald’s confirmed to TODAY.com that it surveyed a representative sample of American adults and found that 1 in 8 (just over, actually, at 13.7%) reported that they currently or formerly worked at a McDonald’s restaurant.
That statistic makes sense, seeing as you're never very far from a McDonald's. The popular fast-food chain says it has over 13,000 restaurants in operation across the country. And while the McDonald's site doesn't say just how many locations it has here in the Gopher State, 24/7 Wall Street says the number is close to 226.

Why Rochester Claims the Best McDonald's in Minnesota
McDonald's restaurants in the North Star State have some of the highest average ratings nationwide, the study said, ranking 3.47 out of five based on analysis of 100,919 customer reviews. Overall, Minnesota is home to the 15th-highest-rated McDonald's restaurants in America, the study noted.

And the McDonald's locations here in Rochester are now the highest-rated across the entire state! The study said the Med City's McDonald's scored an average rating of 3.57 to take the top spot in the survey, followed by McDonald's locations in Plymouth, with a ranking of 3.54. Of Minnesota's 10 largest cities, Brooklyn Park has the lowest-rated McDonald's restaurants at 3.32.
