Lisa’s Logic: History Was Made
My husband and many, many others watched as American Pharoah won The Triple Crown by winning at Belmont. Pretty cool, that hasn't been done in 37 years.
I was outside relaxing, weeding the garden. Thoughts sneak in here and there, but other than that it is just me pulling weeds. I think I may have to get one of those mini garden forks and diggers. My fingertips are a little sore, but in a good way.
My husband calls it my playtime. I put on my gloves and weed. I don't mind squishing a bug or two, not all bugs. My hands still get dirty though, just not as dirty, I suppose.
Even better, I did not hit my head on the bay windows this time.
Before I did my gardening, a couple of young robins were on our patio. They were probably siblings and pestering each other, just like any other species. Check out the short video.
I also noticed a bumblebee and a honeybee in the catmint. When I was messing with the coral belles, a butterfly flew out. That surprised me.
A neighbor gave us some coneflowers, and sometimes they are white flowers instead of the pink because of the daisies right next to them. That same neighbor gave us black-eyed susans, and they are in their third spot and finally look as if they like it, and are growing very nicely.
It was a good day. Here is also a picture of a noisy young robin in some ground cover.
The sun is shining above ... Think Happy Thoughts.
