Over the years I've noticed something that seems to only happen to males or small children. That's the familiar scolding during the holiday season of "get away from that table" or sometimes it's more like "Loren, how many of those have you had?" And some years it's more like "are you gonna leave some for the rest of us?" I suppose I should plead guilty but when I find something I really like, I go for it.

This Christmas it was my daughter's wontons. She's been making them for a number of years but this was the first Christmas we had them as appetizers. I really wasn't familiar with them till she stated making them. It's a Chinese food. The best I can describe them is that they appear to be made from the same stuff that Chinese fortune cookies are made up. Sort of an open shell and filled with stuff like sausage, cheese and other stuff. Stuff, stuff and more stuff, I don't think I have a future hosting a cooking show. Here's an article that will better describe wontons.

I sure like those wontons. On the positive side, overdosing on wontons means there are more Christmas cookies for the rest of the guests. Which Holiday goodie do you go overboard on?
