Yesterday afternoon (October 11), Brooklyn Park police officers were notified of a disturbance in the 7300 block of Regent Ave.

Upon arrival, officers found a man stabbed in "an extremity by a person known to him." 

Thankfully, the man is expected to make a full recovery. 

Several bystanders, witnesses, and the victim provided a suspect description. With the information, police located the suspect in a moving car and proceeded to conduct a traffic stop.

A release from the Brooklyn Park Police Department explained that during the arrest, "the suspect was uncooperative and spit in the faces of multiple officers, potentially exposing them to infectious pathogens."

The suspect is currently at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center. The stabbing is still under investigation.
