Luke Combs is seeing his first radio success with his own powerful single "Hurricane," but he can nail a cover, too. The singer-songwriter recently took some time to cover another artist's poignant song: Keith Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color."

In a minute-long video clip uploaded to Facebook, Combs tries his hand at Urban's most recent No. 1 hit and impresses with his deep and soulful vocals. Backed by a guitarist, the newcomer's voice soars on a stripped-down version of the song.

Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color" was written by Steven Lee Olsen, Hillary Lindsey and Clint Lagerberg and reached No. 1 in January. The song was nominated for both Single and Song of the Year at the recent ACM Awards and is the fourth consecutive No. 1 single off Urban's latest album Ripcord. It’s a song that Urban says immediately struck him the first time he heard it.

“I couldn’t even label what it was, what style it was,” he admits (quote via Sounds Like Nashville). “It’s got a bit of soul, it’s got a bit of blues, it’s got a bit of country, it’s got just a big mix of all good things. Lyrically, it’s just an incredible song, incredible song. I was so hoping I could do the song justice when we got in the studio.”

Combs, meanwhile, recently announced that his debut album will be released on June 2. Titled This One’s for You, the album features 12 tracks that were all co-penned by the newcomer.

"I couldn’t be more proud of this album. These songs mean so much to me and all my friends who I wrote them with," Combs says. "From North Carolina to Nashville, this project has been such a long time in the making and I can’t wait for the fans to hear it. I sincerely hope they enjoy the album because they are the reason I do what I do."
