This story might just be un-bear-able. The man who portrayed TC Bear for the last 19-years, 2000-2019, is no longer with the Minnesota Twins according to a Star Tribune article Wednesday morning. The man who filled the suit, 46-year-old Greg Wilfahrt, who was still listed as of 10:20 Wednesday morning as the mascot supervisor on the Twins website.

Those that appreciate the fun-loving, homerun hitting bear mascot have nothing to worry about as the bear itself won't be going anywhere, but the person who fills its suit and puts on the oversized bear head will change.

The announcement has spurned a bunch of responses on Twitter in regards to what's next for the Twins mascot. For instance, will the new TC Bear wear pants?

Will TC Bear and the Twins instead embrace technology and make the mascot seemingly appear out of thin air like a hologram?

Under the Twins mascot page on its website, it still appears that the mascot will be available for "appearances at Twins Youth Clinics, schools, hospitals, and parades throughout the year and for private parties, birthday parties, or corporate events, T.C. will make an appearance for a small fee."
