Minnesota Basketball News updated their girls high school basketball rankings in their Friday, December 17, 2021 issue.

There are four classes in Minnesota high school girls basketball.  The biggest schools in enrollment are Class 4A.  The smallest Class 1A.

I have included the Minnesota State High School League enrollment requirements for each class.

The South Suburban Conference has 4 ranked teams.  Big Nine 3 rated teams. Hiawatha Valley League 4 rated teams. Gopher Conference 1 ranked team.  Minnesota River Conference 3 rated teams.  Three Rivers Conference 1 ranked team.

The MSHSL website states the enrollment is determined by the number of students enrolled in grades 9-12  "- 40% of their Educational Benefit (free and reduced Lunch).
