The latest Solar Potential Analysis Report show Minnesota continuing to make large strides in renewable energy. The state has already reached its current Renewable Electricity Stand of 25 % by 2025 and is on pace to attain the current Solar Electricity Standard of 1.5% by the end of 2020.

The report stats that Minnesota could achieve 10% solar by 2015 at costs comparable to natural gas generation. The report goes out to point out that expected cost decreases in solar, wind and storage will enable Minnesota to achieve 70% solar and wind by 2050 at costs comparable to natural gas generation.
