Minnesota Man Handed Lengthy Prison Sentence For Child Porn

Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Minnesota man has been handed a 35-year prison sentence for a child pornography conviction.
40-year-old Jay Tyrell Whiteford earlier entered a guilty plea to one count of production of child pornography in federal court. The US Attorney's office for Minnesota says the Minneapolis man was prosecuted for tricking at least two minors into creating and sending him sexually explicit videos and images of themselves.
Court records indicate Whiteford used his cell phone and Snapchat account to communicate with his victims. It was alleged that he used an alias and convinced them that he was only 16 years old.
The case was investigated by the FBI am of the Minneapolis Police Department.
