Minnesota Singer Brought on Stage by Dustin Lynch Shares Her Story

Young Minnesota singer-songwriter Hailey James is on the rise, and a boost from Dustin Lynch sure helped with that.

At Country Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin this past June, Hailey was attending with her family. She told 98.1 Minnesota's New Country that when Dustin Lynch was looking for someone to sing his duet "Thinking Bout You", Hailey wasn't paying attention. Luckily her friends and family were and were making a scene getting Dustin's attention, and the next thing she knew Dustin was pulling her on stage to sing.

Luckily Hailey has been practicing for this moment her whole life. She started taking music seriously as a young teen, and even though she is just starting her senior year of high school she has already released a few singles of her own.

Dustin Lynch obviously didn't know that and was shocked by how Hailey not only could sing, she knew every word and was leading HIM around the stage.

Haily shared the moment on TikTok and ended up going viral amassing millions of views, likes, and thousands of new followers on her TikTok and Instagram pages.

Hailey took some time out of her first day of senior year to talk to 98.1 about the experience, and her musical career so far.
