Danielle Hunter skipped OTAs as well as the team's mandatory mini-camp.

Many expected Hunter to sit out training camp until the issue was resolved, but he did show up to camp on opening day last week in Eagan, although he did not participate in practices.

Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell commented:

Danielle Hunter is a very special player, and as soon as we can get him out here, you guys will see him out here, and our fans will see him out here.

Danielle Hunter has recorded 71 sacks in his 73 starts as a Minnesota Viking.

The Vikings players have today off, before their first full-pads practice tomorrow. The Minnesota Vikings first preseason game is Thursday, August 10 against the Seahawks in Seattle. The regular season opener for the Vikings will be on Sunday, September 10th at U.S. Bank Stadium against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
