Minnesota Vikings to Sign QB Sam Darnold, Add Packers’ RB Aaron Jones
The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a one-year deal with quarterback Sam Darnold. Darnold spent last season with the San Francisco 49ers.
The deal is said to be worth $10 million for the third overall pick in the 2018 draft. Darnold spent his first three season with the New York Jets, then two more with the Carolina Panthers, and as backup to Brock Purdy on the 49ers last season.
Vikings Also Signing Former Packers RB Aaron Jones
The Green Bay Packers released running back Aaron Jones yesterday, and he and the Vikings promptly agreed to a one-year deal worth $7 million.
Jones has been plagued with injuries lately, but has the third most rushing yards in Green Bay history at 5,940 and forth in rushing touchdowns with 45. Jones is 29 years-old.
