
Minnesota Woman Killed in Collision With Semi-truck
Brainerd, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Minnesota woman was killed Friday after her vehicle collided with a semi-truck that failed to stop at an intersection near Brainerd.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the truck was on a rural road and going through the intersection when it was hit by a minivan. The collision caused the truck to roll.
The driver of the van died at the scene. She was identified as 36-year-old Kelly Schmidtbauer of Pierz.
The driver of the truck was identified as 59-year-old Brent Chase of Staples. The State Patrol says he suffered life-threatening injuries.
The wreck happened around 8:00 AM on Highway 25.
