You always hear about kid-friendly events, but what about adult-friendly events? If you are looking for something different to do the next time you head out with friends you should check out the Minnesota Zoo's new after-hours event. You'll get to enjoy the animals, live music, and plenty of cold beverages!

The Minnesota Zoo invites you to "grab your friends, family, and neighbors to explore indoor and outdoor trails – all while enjoying food, drinks, music, and of course majestic animals from around the world."

Minnesota Zoo After Hours

This is the first summer the zoo has hosted "Zoo After Hours". The adults-only (18+) after-party happens twice each month, on select Fridays, through August. If you want to take your kids the Zoo hosts a special "Zoo After Hours" for families on select Saturdays.

So What’s Available During The Minnesota Zoo's  "Zoo After Hours" Event?

The Minnesota Zoo says guests will be able to explore the following areas:

  • Tropics Trail and Minnesota Trail: 4:30 – 8:30pm
  • Russia’s Grizzly Coast and Northern Trail: 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Wells Fargo Family Farm: 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Visitors will enjoy live music during each event from 4:30 – 9p and Food and beverage will be available to buy on site.

The Zoo says no outside alcoholic beverages will be allowed in and all guests must be 21+ to drink. Get more info here.
