Faribault and Eyota come to mind as Minnesota towns that out-of-staters might mispronounce. Actually, most Minnesota towns and areas are pronounced like they're spelled. That isn't true in my native Wisconsin. The influence of Native Americans, along with the early French priests who lived in Wisconsin years ago, really affected the way many Wisconsin towns are pronounced. I spent better than 35 years in the Badger State and thought maybe it would fun to challenge my fellow coworkers who are long-time Minnesotans to try to pronounce Wisconsin towns.

How do you think you would do trying to pronounce these towns?
