Minnesota’s ‘Must-Visit Small Town’ for 2021 is 90 Miles from Rochester
There are always people claiming they know which small town is 'the best' or a 'must-visit'. Those opinions are always subjective, but this one I actually agree with. Thrillist released their 'must-visit' small towns in every state and Minnesota's is one that I agree with.
I was actually visiting this small town just a few weeks ago! I honestly don't remember if I've really spent much time in this town before a few weeks ago. But even after the one trip I would highly recommend others visit too.
Since Thrillist listed the 'must-visit' small town from every state, before we get to Minnesota's, let's look at the 'must-visit' towns from Wisconsin and Iowa.
Decorah, Iowa
Decorah, IA is Thrillist's 'must-visit' small town in Iowa. It's close to the Minnesota/Iowa border on the northeast side of the state making it an easy day trip for us from southeast Minnesota.
Sister Bay, Wisconsin
I had never heard of Sister Bay, WI but I guess it's one of the furthest from Minnesota. It's on the peninsula that sticks into Lake Michigan so yeah, just a bit of a drive for us. But I'm sure it's beautiful there being surrounded by the lake!
Stillwater, Minnesota
Finally, Minnesota's 'must-visit' small town is Stillwater. Like I said, I was in Stillwater just a few weeks ago and oh my gosh it's such a cute town! And the places we visited were great. So I can confirm that this is actually one of those lists that you should trust, go visit Stillwater when you have the chance.
