When I see the photos of this mansion in Minnesota, all I can think of is "Wow, it's almost like the White House...but here in our state.".  In fact, past presidents have been here!

Cottage Grove, Minnesota is home to one of the most majestic homes in our state that truly will take you back in time and also make you gasp in shock.  Well, the price tag of $1.95 million might do that first but actually, it is a bargain.  According to Realtor.com, the mansion was on the market a few times for $2.5 million and is currently listed at $1.95 by Dawn Williams or Coldwell Banker Realty - Dakota County/Eagan.

Cedarhurst Mansion is was built at 6940 Keats Ave S. in Cottage Grove in 1856 and sits on 10+ acres.  Throughout the years, several additions were made to the property that increased the square footage to go over the 10,000 mark and also created an impressive front veranda, library, grand ballroom that seats 200, and an amazingly elegant foyer that welcomes you from the front and back of the home.  The home also features 11 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a commercial kitchen, another kitchen on the second floor, and several outbuildings.

The property has been the backdrop for many weddings and business events and is now ready for a new owner to continue its purpose.  If you've been wanting a spot to entertain or start a wedding venue business, this could be your dream come true.

You may not be ready to schedule a showing but here's a sneak peek so you can see what this Minnesota mansion is all about.

The Cedarhurst Mansion is amazing but a house that is a little bit more my style was for sale recently and previously owned by a former Minnesota Twins player.  Check out the pics below and fall in love with it too...but just know if it goes up for sale again, it's mine.
