New Apple Valley Restaurant Is The Best Place To Get To Oysters and Whiskey
New restaurant alert!
Farmer and the Fishmonger, an eccentric kind of farm-to-table restaurant, features wild and seasonal dishes and cocktails, all brought to the table by local farmers, foragers, and fishmongers.
The Apple Valley eatery officially opens tonight (Wednesday, December 8th) at 4 pm.
The menu ranges from steak to octopus to pretzel bites. However, the one thing this restaurant is most excited about is its oysters. The eatery has six different raw oyster varieties for patrons. But that's not all; they also have cooked oyster flights.
Now, I am not an oyster fan, but their twelve-page drink menu did catch my eye. I'm almost certain they have every kind of whiskey ever made. (You can check this list to see if your favorite is available.)
The best time to visit this hip new restaurant is, of course, during happy hour. Each day from 4 to 5 pm, visitors can get half-priced oysters, buy-one-get-one-free draft beers, wine, and rail cocktails. In addition, signature cocktails are $5 off, and you can get a classic beer and bump for $5.
There is also a late-night special from 9 pm to close every night. During this time, oysters are again half-priced, and all pours of whiskey are as well.
Reservations are not required, but if you would like to eat during a popular time, such as happy hour, having a reservation definitely would not hurt.
You can find this eatery at 14883 Florence Trail in Apple Valley. Just a hop, skip and a jump from Faribault!
