New Brewery Opening in Savage in Former Minnesota Newspaper Building
Another new brewery is coming to Minnesota, this time in Savage! The place is called Loons Landing and they just recently signed the lease on their building. And fun fact, it's a former Minnesota newspaper building.
Loons Landing is owned by Amy, Scott, and Paul who all started brewing together in 2015. They've been working for years to perfect their brews and are now super excited to open their own permanent brewery.
The place where Loons Landing signed their lease is 12925 Eagle Creek Parkway, Savage, MN 55378 which just so happens to be the former location of Southwest News Media although from the outside you'd never know it. The location is in a strip of businesses is Savage, not a stand-alone location.
Loons Landing plans to open their doors in January 2022 unless things go awry of course. I'm excited to try them sometime because the beers they've already made sound awesome. Here are their beers to get you excited:
Smoking on 36th Street - English Porter
Autumn's Early Arrival Blonde Ale - Blonde Ale
Damned Squirrel - British Brown Ale
Red Sunset - Irish Red Ale
Bier - Czech Premium Pale Lager
Dobroy Nochi - Russian Imperial Stout
Anti-Scurvy Elixir - American IPA
Blues Don't Bother Me - Fruit Beer
Two beers that they're currently working on that I would think will be available when they open are the Ironclad which is a California Common and The Patriot which is a Vienna Lager.
Which of these beers are you most excited to try? For me Blonde Ales are always a good go-to so I'd definitely want to try that one, but I'm also a big Stout fan so Dobroy Nochi may also be one I'd have to try.
