Greenbush, MN (KROC AM News) – A northwest Minnesota school bus driver was cited for speeding and for having alcohol in her system Wednesday morning according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Bemidji Pioneer reports that the Minnesota state trooper pulled over the school bus for speeding on Roseau County Road 7 near Greenbush, Minnesota. The trooper, after interacting with the driver, 40-year-old Alicia Olson, believed she may have had alcohol in her system. Olson stated that she had been drinking the night before.

After an investigation, the state patrol determined that Olson had alcohol in her system and cited her for speeding and having alcohol in her system while operating a school bus.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the traffic stop.
