Omot, Jensen Reign as Homecoming Queen & King
Owatonna High School crowned their royalty Wednesday night at the stadium as Aston Jensen and Wilo Omot were named as homecoming king and queen. Candidates and their families attended the event. All candidates will be recognized during Friday night's girls' soccer match at 7 pm at the Lincoln Complex.
Omot is active in student council, Diversity Inclusion Group, Mixed Roots, band and choir. She is a manager for football and baseball and in the color guard. Omot works with children at her church and would like to become a therapist for children.

Jensen is involved with student council, speech, mock trial, and DECA. He was a manger for the girls soccer team this fall and is now going out for football for the first time, "I like to be involved. I like to have something to do and like to get to know new people."

The other king finalists are Payton Beyer, Dom Nelson, Lane Versteeg, and Jonathan Wall. The other queen finalists include Emma Dahnert, Sarah Kingland, Grace Linders, and Grace Wolfe.
The semifinals include Annika Andrix, Lindsay Bangs, Emma Klemmensen, Sydney Hunst, Libby Janka, Sabella Maas, Lily Sampson, Connor Budach, Sam Buegler, Nolan Burmeister, Zach Kubicek, Lincoln Maher, Matt Seykora, Zach Stransky, Jack Tichenal, and Brayden Truelson.
Homecoming (Part I) also includes a Cruise Main Friday, October 2 from 5 to 7 pm in downtown Owatonna. The public is invited to participate. School groups decorated many storefronts in celebration. OHS students, up to 200 of them, will take in the movie "The Goonies" Thursday night at the stadium.
