One-Hit Wonder: Tim Rushlow

He was from Oklahoma, moved to Texas, formed a band or two and is now solo and even into Big Band ... Tim Rushlow, according to his website.

He was born in Oklahoma, then Rushlow and his family moved to Texas.

Rushlow began as the lead singer for Little Texas and moving to Nashville. They had hit after hit in the '90s, then disbanded in the late '90s. With Little Texas, Rushlow has won CMAs, ACMs and was nominated for Grammys.

Rushlow released a debut album, Totally Committed, in 2001. His first single, "When You Love Me," was followed by a Top 5 hit, "She Misses Him." Then the label closed shop.

Early 2000, Rushlow joined by his cousin -- Doni Harris -- and a rhythm section formed Rushlow. They had a Top 15 hit, "I Can't Be Your Friend." After releasing their album Now, the label dropped the group.

Rushlow and Harris then split of into an eponymous group. They signed and toured with Toby Keith in 2007-08. They sang "Bagpipes Crying" to pay tribute to our troops and it became a military classic.

The following year, "Tim Rushlow. One Man, One Guitar, One Night!" began and moved forefront. It is an unplugged show including stories and songs. Rushlow has performed in Nashville for a military benefit with Randy Owens (Alabama) and Larry Stewart (Restless Heart). Also started a Nashville songwriters night.

In November 2014, a genre switch for him. He recorded a new Christmas album as Tim Rushlow & His Big Band.
