Owatonna Drum Line to Play at State Fair
The Owatonna High School Drum Line finally got the chance to perform in-person for an Owatonna crowd Saturday night at the Steele County Free Fair. Next up is their chance to strut their stuff before a statewide gathering at the Minnesota State Fair this coming weekend.
A big crowd filled the center stage area of the Village of Yesteryear to hear the drum line perform a static show before they marched through the fairgrounds. Lead snare Connor De Bruin says the group is excited to perform for their fans and family, "We had a limited marching season this year...Some of the parades had full spectators."
He was thrilled to see a big crowd Saturday, "Very flattered because the Wenger Parade didn't actually have any spectators. This is one of the times where we feel we've been playing for the town."
De Bruin says the group will march at the state fair this weekend. Click on his name below the pictures to hear a short interview with the OHS senior.
