Owatonna’s Winter Weekend Out To Be Made Up This Weekend

So, it was the middle of January and no snow on the ground. Actually it was even too warm to try to make snow. Many of the Owatonna Winter Weekend Out activities were postponed. Maybe no winter this year? Mother Nature has the last say and she said it loud and good. We now have our winter and a number of activities will be made up this weekend.

Saturday, February 16 enjoy Rock on Ice from 6-8pm at Morehouse. Music, lights and fun. Skate to the music and LED lighting. The Chalet will offer a skate rental special and there will be a bonfire. You may also take part in Ice Bocce. Get a team of two to four together and come on down to this free event.

Sunday, February 17 there will be family ice fishing on Lake Kohlmier from 2:30-4:30pm. Holes will be pre-drilled with a limited amount of equipment and bait provided. Kids 15 and under who catch the top 3 longest fish will win prizes. The weatherman tells to expect highs in the teens on Saturday and around 20 on Sunday.
