While we get disappointed when we get a dusting of snow in April, there are some parts of Minnesota that can still get pummeled with snow this time of year. And some poor people up north had to deal with getting a foot or more of snow thanks to a three-day snowstorm.

Earlier this week, northern Minnesota dealt with a snowstorm. Many parts got 6 inches or more which I would be very upset about. Sven Sundgaard with Bring Me the News says that some of the towns that got 6 inches or more include Grand Marais, Two Harbors, and Castle River. Duluth got 5 inches of snow.

There are two spots that Sven reports have gotten a foot or more of snow in that area. 2 miles north of Murphy City they got 12 inches.

And 3 miles northwest of Silver Bay that got 13 inches of snow.

I know they live in northern Minnesota and up there you have to assume that a snowstorm in April is going to happen, but still. I would be so disappointed. If we got a foot of snow in our neck of the woods after the little peeks of nice weather we've been getting, I'd be out of here. Not actually but I'd strongly consider it.

It does look like there's the possibility of another snowstorm moving through that area mid-next week. Down here in southeast Minnesota it's looking more like thunderstorms will be rolling through, and let's hope it stays that way. I'd like spring, please!
