Pheasants For Hospitalized Veterans Auction Is October 10

The annual Pheasants for Hospitalized Veterans auction will take place on Saturday, October 10, at the VFW Post 3723 in Owatonna.

The silent auction will run from 5-7PM, with the live auction beginning at 7PM.

Money raised will go toward providing a meal of pheasant to veterans at 14 hospitals or veteran's homes throughout Minnesota; Fargo, N.D.; and Sioux Falls, S.D.

This tradition began in Minneapolis in 1941 and Steele County is always among the leaders in donations.

There will be a number of new items along with many gift baskets available to bid on. The kitchen will be open from 5-8PM.

The public is invited. You must be at least 21 to attend. The VFW Post is at 13 West Oakdale in Owatonna.
