Scoreboard operators were kept quite busy Tuesday across southern Minnesota. The Owatonna boys basketball team reached the century figure in their win over Faribault. Blooming Prairie senior Bobbie Bruns set a school scoring record during a victory at Randolph. The Medford girls outscored NRHEG 74-68 in a Kat Kountry 105 FM broadcast.

The Tigers trailed by ten 21-11 partway through the first half. Medford then went on a 10-0 run late in the half to grab the lead. The surge included a six-point possession. Andrea Bock hit the front end of a one-and-one. She missed the second but the Tigers got the rebound and Bock scored.

Clara Kniefel then stole the in-bound pass, scored, was fouled and nailed the free throw. Medford led 34-32 at the break. They extended the lead to seven early in the second half, but the Panthers stormed back to take a 51-49 lead. The Tigers responded with a 14-4 run and led the rest of the way.

Bock scored 31. Kniefel added 20. Anna Herr scored 11 of her 13 in the first half. Medford hit 16-out-of-19 from the free throw line in the second half. The Panthers were led by 20 from Sidney Schultz. Hallie Schultz scored 12. NRHEG had a cold shooting night and battled foul trouble. Three of their players fouled out of the game.

Medford plays at USC Friday. NRHEG goes to WEM Friday.

OWATONNA BOYS HIT TRIPLE FIGURES

No. 7 rated Owatonna overwhelmed Faribault 101-46 Tuesday night. The Huskies hit 17 three-pointers. Brayden Williams scored 24. Ty Creger added 16. Nick Williams had 12. Owatonna forced 20 turnovers and outrebounded the Falcons 27-12.

Evan Dushek was held out of the lineup. He was injured Saturday in the first half of the Huskies' loss to Park Cottage Grove, though he did return to the floor in that game. OHS hosts Rochester John Marshall Thursday, January 13.

BLOOMING PRAIRIE PLAYER SETS SCHOOL SCORING RECORD

Blossom senior Bobbie Bruns scored 37 points in a 59-48 win at Randolph. She had three treys and dished out six assists and while making five steals as well. Blooming Prairie hosts Bethlehem Academy Friday, January 14.
