The big kick-off for Red Ribbon Week is coming up on Monday, October 28th, right here in Owatonna. They are doing a huge kick-off event at the Owatonna Middle School, which includes a free meal as well as family games. The Police Department and Mayor will be there, and the Steele County Safe and Drug Free Coalition with their display, "Hidden in plain sight."

Everyone is welcome to attend, and this is, of course, the week that all the kiddos come home with the red ribbons to wear. Those red ribbons can get you discounts/specials at several different businesses in town. Be watching for the list that will come home with the kids as well.
