Just in time for the 4th of July, No-Wake restrictions have been lifted on both Cedar and French lakes in Rice County.

No-Wake restrictions remain on Cannon, Circle, Cody/Phelps, Fox, Maszaska, Roberds, Sakatah, Shields and Union Lakes.

The definition of a No-Wake Zone means that all boats must travel at a slow speed to minimize the wake they create, while still being able to steer and move forward. The exact speed depends on the boat and the situation, but it's usually the slowest speed that allows the driver to maintain control.
