Widespread thunderstorms will develop overnight, some could be severe, with excessive rainfall possible across a large portion of southern Minnesota.
Large hail and heavy rainfall will be the primary threats, with isolated damaging winds and a weak tornado or two possible.

Additional rounds of heavy rain through Tuesday could lead to flash flooding and rising rivers. Beyond Tuesday, more rain is expected. By the end of next week, some areas could receive over 6 inches of rain.
