Severe Thunderstorm Watch For Southern Minnesota
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
central and southern Minnesota effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening until
The primary threats include scattered damaging winds and isolated significant wind gusts to 75 mph possible. Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible and a tornado or two is possible.
Thunderstorms should develop east from eastern South Dakota and offer a risk for severe wind/hail this evening, with a tornadic storm also possible.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles south of Ortonville to 20 miles southeast of Minneapolis.

Anoka, Blue Earth, Brown, Carver, Chippewa, Cottonwood, Dakota, Hennepin, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, Le Sueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Mcleod, Meeker, Murray, Nicollet, Pipestone, Ramsey, Redwood, Renville, Rice, Scott, Sibley, Swift, Waseca, Washington, Watonwan, Wright, Yellow Medicine.
