Severe Weather Risk Across Southern Minnesota Today

The National Weather Service says that thunderstorms are expected to develop across southern Minnesota this afternoon, and a few could be severe.

The main severe weather threats are large hail and damaging winds, with the severe weather risk at it's greatest between 2 pm today and 8 pm this evening.

Remain weather aware, and have multiple ways to receive warnings -- especially if you have outdoor plans.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon & evening, especially across eastern Minnesota & western Wisconsin. Hail & gusty winds are possible with the strongest storms. Hot & humid weather builds next week with temperatures approaching 100° Wednesday & Thursday.
