Shooting In Downtown Rochester Leaves One Dead, Another Wounded

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Another shooting has been reported in Rochester and the latest led to the death of one person and serious injuries to another.
Rochester Police Dept. spokeswoman Amanda Grayson says an RPD officer actually witnessed the downtown shooting around 2:30 am Sunday.
She says it happened at the corner of 1st Ave and 3rd St SW.
Grayson says “The officer ran after one of the shooters and apprehended him following a brief foot chase.” She says the suspected second shooter was apprehended a short time later.
Grayson says a 28-year-old Rochester man died at the scene, and a 28-year-old Rochester man was taken to St. Marys Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
At last report, RPD officers were still investigating a shooting Friday night that left a man in the hospital.
