Downhill skiers in Minnesota tend to experience much calmer chairlift rides than what these people experienced in their ride up the mountain.

Sure the runs are longer and majestic when you take on a real mountain skiing experience, but I doubt what you are about to see would ever happen at Welch Village, Wild Mountain, Afton Alps or Spirit Mountain.

Apparently the chairlift ride at the Italian ski resort shown in this video is the result of sudden and unexpected winds gusting as high as 70 milers per hour.

And the craziest thing of all; there are skiers on some of those chairs shown in the video. If you look closely to the chair closest to one of the support posts, you'll see a couple of pairs of skis and boots.

Amazingly, nobody was hurt.

Makes the tow rope have a certain appeal.
