Tim Penny of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation based in Owatonna was a guest on AM 1390's Talk of the Town. A number of deadlines for applications are due on Tuesday, May 15. Let's take a look at them.

The Foundation is still accepting applications for its Economnic Development Incentive grant program. It's available to non profits, units of government and other public agencies in the Foundations' 20 county area. Requests up to $20,000 will be considered. Some past grant projects include the Red Wing Innovation Incubator and the Albert Lea Entrepreneurial Advancement Program.

May 15 is also the deadline for the FEAST Smart Grant program. Up to four applicants will receive a total of up to $10,000 each to support individual farm and food entrepreneurs in their community.
