It'll be the 14th annual Southern Minnesota Organic Crops Day on Tuesday, March 26. The day will begin with registration at 2:30pm at the Steele County Community Center followed by the program beginning at 3pm.

Topics to be covered include a presentation by an University of Minnesota Extension Manure Specialist. A U of M Extension Soil Specialist will discuss nutrient management.  Insect pest management along with small grains and marketing opportunities for small grains will also be addressed. Presenters will include a panel of experienced organic farmers along with the guest speakers. The day will wrap up with an all-organic supper.

The cost is $15 at the door which includes the meal. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations for a supper head count would be appreciated. Contact the Extension at 507-444-7691. to sign up or find out more.
