Steele County Humane Society Raising Funds

It's been a bit over a week since the first 5 dogs of an ultimately 35 or so dogs arrived in Steele County from the Houston area. A total of around 40 people stepped forward offering to foster care the dogs till permanent homes can be found for them. The dogs were rescued from animal shelters in the Houston area to make room for pets that get separated from their owners due to the flood.

Now through September 30 Flooring Frenzy and More in Owatonna is conducting a Shop For The Paws. During this period a portion of all qualifying sales will go directly to the Steele County Humane Society to help in the providing for the newly arrived dogs.

Flooring Frenzy and More will host the next Pet Adoption Day which is set from Saturday, September 16 from 1-3PM. The store is located at 223 North Cedar in Owatonna.

Donations of cash and animal care products and accessories are also being accepted at Flooring Frenzy at this time as well.
