Steele County Public Health would like to thank everyone for all the generous donations of cloth mask received.

Steele County Public Health would like to extend a huge Thank you to our caring community for donating cloth masks to help protect our health care workers, essential business providers, and vulnerable populations.

 

According to the press release sent out, over 1,100 mask were collected between Blooming Prairie, Medford and Owatonna during the MN State Mask Drive that was initiated by Governor Walz. For the mask collected, SCPH received 190 from the Blooming Prairie Fire Department, 126 from Medford, and 831 from Owatonna. Steele County Public Health will continue to accept PPE, cloth mask, and other donations! All donations can be dropped off at the Steele County Public Health office, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, which is located at 635 Florence Ave. here in Owatonna. If you have questions, call the public health office at 507-444-7650.

Steele County Public Health is recommending that people adhere to the current social distancing guidelines and that individuals continue to wear a mask in public or interacting with others outside of their immediate family.
