I have a young daughter and I’d her to grow up without the fear of one-day developing breast cancer. That’s why I love helping local organizations like Join the Journey and the Olmsted Co. Chapter of the American Cancer Society with their events that raise money for cancer research.

It’s no secret that what we eat has a huge impact on our overall health and researchers now believe that they’ve found a couple of foods that could drastically decrease a woman’s chance of getting breast cancer.

The study from the University of Buffalo and the University of Puerto Rico shows that eating raw onions and garlic every day could lower a woman's chance of getting breast cancer by 67%. Lina Mu, the study's senior author, told Science Daily: "These compounds show anticarcinogenic properties in humans, as well as in experimental animal studies."
