Sunshine and 70s Today, Measurable Snow Possible On Tuesday
By now I'm sure your familiar with the saying "If you don't like the weather in [insert Minnesota city here], just wait 5 minutes - it'll change!" Well, that couldn't be truer for the upcoming forecast from the National Weather Service. Temps today could flirt with 80...yes 80 on November 6th, but by Tuesday we could be shoveling an inch or two of snow off of our driveway and sidewalk.
According to a social media post by the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities this morning we are in for a rude awakening temperature-wise beginning on Monday as we slide into the upper 30s and lower 40s for the remainder of the week next week.

The forecast for the area Monday through Tuesday night calls for quite the change, temps start off near 63 on Monday before falling the remainder of the day into the 40s with rain and possibly snow mixed in falling Monday through Tuesday night, however, the current forecast from the National Weather Service doesn't indicate how much if any will stick around.
"Monday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with temperature rising to near 63 by 11am, then falling to around 48 during the remainder of the day. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west northwest. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Monday Night: Rain and snow showers likely. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with lows around 30. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Tuesday: Rain and snow likely. Partly sunny, with highs mostly in the middle 30s. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Tuesday Night: Rain and snow likely. Partly cloudy, with lows mainly in the middle 20s. West northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%." - National Weather Service Twin Cities
As we've learned over time, there is still way too much time before the snow is expected so the forecast will change between now and then, and we might not even see snow but rather just rain early next week. Only time will tell, but just in case have you snowblower and or shovel ready to go.
